Scott Dam

Scott Dam has Bachelors and Masters of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) and Masters of Business Administration degrees. He is a registered Professional Engineer. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy at Naval Reactors in Washington, DC and Windsor, CT. He has held leadership positions throughout his career in engineering design and construction of large nuclear power plants and other commercial and government facilities. Prior to retiring from a full-time job and moving into technical and management consulting, he was president of a consulting company in Maryland. In addition to his volunteer positions with the church, he is currently president of the Friends of the Nevada Southern Railway at the Boulder City railroad museum and president of his homeowners’ association. He is an Eagle Scout, merit badge councilor and advisor for Explorer Post 844 and Explorer Club 1000. His hobbies include model railroading, photography, writing, and reading military history. He transferred his membership to BCUMC from Grace UMC in Merritt Island, FL. In his position as assistant chair of the church council, he assists the chair with church administration including implementing and evaluating the mission and ministry activities of the church.
